Tube Rescue

A Driver and crew team race out to sea and after rounding the first buoy, the crewperson exits the boat with a tube. The crewperson swims to pickup the patient and tow them back to the boat. The crewperson re-enters the boat with the patient and the team returns to shore.

Mass Rescue

A driver and crew team race out to sea to collect a patient and return to shore. A turnaround is completed on the beach and the same driver and crew race out to sea to collect a second patient then return to shore.

Teams Rescue

The first driver and crew team race out to sea to collect a patient before returning to shore and perform a changeover on the beach with a second driver and crew team who also race out to sea and collect a patient then return to shore.

Surf Rescue

A team of one driver and one crew race out to sea to collect a patient and return to shore.

Assembly Teams

The first driver and crew team race to assemble the boat before completing a Teams Rescue with a second driver and crew team.

IRB Taplin Relay

The Taplin Relay is a continuous race combining the four event categories in order of; Tube Rescue, Mass Rescue, Teams Rescue, and Surf Rescue.
